Radio Belarus’ German-language programming

March 1985 saw the launch of German-language broadcasting at radio "Belarus". Its programs target not only ordinary listeners, but also businessmen and politicians. German programs give an overview of political, economic, cultural and sports life of Belarus. They include news, reports and interviews.

Every radio program has its specific slot and day of release. "Meetings with Belarusian Literature" comes out every Wednesday. On Saturday, one can receive "Listeners' Club" based on audience feedback, "Heritage" - program providing insights into Belarusian history and "Rendezvous, Dialogue, Cooperation" offering the listeners interviews with business people, company and organization profiles. Our broadcast also includes the programs: "Belarus Through the Eyes of Guests", "Civil Society", "Highway", "Nature and Us", "Youth of Belarus", "Cultural life of Belarus", "Learning Belarusian". Daily "Musical Hour" is aired to familiarize listeners with the works by Belarusian authors.

The popularity of German-language programs is proved by numerous letters from the audience sent mostly from Germany and Austria.
