Belarus has never dissociated itself from Russia and even more so from Leningrad and St. Petersburg.

The Belarusian parliamentary delegation took part in the sessions of the CIS IPA, EurAsEC IPA and CSTO PA, held in St. Petersburg on May 16-18.

The Chinese parliamentary delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Lu Yongxiang will arrive in Belarus on 20 May, Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told media.

It is important to continue the rigorous monetary management policy to slow down inflation in Belarus.

Turkish business has an increased interest in building a range of facilities in Belarus, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich told President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The Belarusian side has paid about $40 million in advance in line with two contracts required to build the nuclear power plant, Belarusian Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets said during a phone-in organized by the Finance Ministry.

Since 11 May 1962 , our call sign of the radio "Belarus" has been in the short waves on international air. Originally the programs were broadcast in Belarusian. In 1985, broadcasting in German was launched, and in 1998 followed its Russian and English versions. Since 2006 radio has started broadcasting in the Polish, while 2010 saw the launch of French and Spanish-language programming.

Today the station offers 16 hours of radio content in 7 languages and 10 hours of real-time online English programming daily.

Radio "Belarus" features:
news and information-analytical shows;
radio meetings with statesmen, politicians, public and religious figures; scientists, writers and musicians, masters of art and folklore; sportsmen;
programs about history, culture, spiritual values of Belarusians.

We are pleased to announce that in September 2010 radio "Belarus" launched French and Spanish-language programming. The program "Belarus from A to Z" will tell you about the most prominent events in the history of Belarus, its culture, traditions and present-day life.

Our schedule:
programs in French aired every Saturday and Sunday at 19.40 UTC,
programs in Spanish aired every Sunday at 20.00 UTC.

English-language programming

Radio Belarus started broadcasting in English in January 1998. At first the time of English broadcast, composed of news programs, was 30 minutes a week. At the moment the air time is 2 hours a week plus 10 hours in the Web. The service features news, analytical, political, cultural, and educational and music programs.

German-language programming

The German Service was launched in March 1985. Its programs target not only ordinary listeners, but also businessmen and politicians. German programs give an overview of political, economic, cultural and sports life of Belarus.
